Overview
Oil skimmers continuously collect floating oils and foam from separators, equalization tanks and sumps. They prevent re-entry of oil and keep surfaces clean for effective separation.
How It Works
Process flow and treatment mechanism in simple steps:
- 1
A belt, disc or tube skimmer contacts the water surface in the tank.
- 2
Floating oil adheres to the skimmer media and is lifted to a discharge trough.
- 3
Recovered oil is drained to storage or disposal.
- 4
Skimmer runs continuously with minimal power consumption.
