Cross Flow Separators (CFS)

Laminar-flow gravity separation with tilted plate packs.

All products

Overview

Cross Flow Separators establish non-turbulent laminar flow across tilted plate packs, allowing even 60-micron oil droplets to separate vertically. Ideal for FOG-heavy dairy and food processing streams.

How It Works

Process flow and treatment mechanism in simple steps:

  1. 1

Wastewater enters and flows horizontally through tilted plate packs under plug-flow conditions.

  2. 2

Oil droplets coalesce on plates and rise for surface removal.

  3. 3

Settleable solids slide down plates into a sludge hopper.

  4. 4

Clarified water exits for discharge or downstream treatment.
